1. Definition
Bill is a feature that helps you schedule payments and send reminder notifications on the due date for your daily, monthly, or yearly bills.
2. Usage
To create a new Bill, follow these steps:
- Step 1: Go to Account tab in Navigation Bar, select Bills feature.
- Step 2: Tap on plus button (+) at the top right beside Wallet icon to create a new bill
- Step 3: Fill the information
- Position 1: The amount of bill
- Position 2: Select wallet you want to create bill for (you need to select the wallet first before you can choose a category)
- Position 3: Select category for the purpose of bill
- Position 4: Add detailed notes for the bill
- Position 5: Choose the repeat options: Frequency by Day/Week/Month/Year; Cycle every how many times; Start date; Repeat Until Forever/Until When/For How Many Times. For example, if you create a monthly repeating bill to occur on a specific day and choose a start date of 12/8, select the options as shown below:
- Step 4: Save the bill
Notes:
- Currently, MoneyLover does not support syncing bills across devices and it cannot be synced when you log out. (We have plans to upgrade this feature in future updates. Please stay tuned for upcoming versions).
- When itโs not yet close to the due date, the bill will not appear in the bill list. It will only show up on the page on the actual payment date.
- The bill will only start taking effect from the next cycle. For example, if you create a monthly repeating bill on the 12th of August and set the start date to August 12th, MoneyLover will schedule the first bill for September 12th, which is the next cycle, rather than for August 12th of the current period.
- The current Bills feature does not support credit wallet.
- After creating, you can track it in the Future tab of the transaction list. However, it is not yet actually created, so you cannot edit or delete it from there. To perform these actions, you need to go back to the bill list page where you will find the options to edit or delete.
