1. Events
a. Definition
The Events feature helps you group transactions together in one place for easier tracking and management. This function is commonly used for recording expenses (or income) related to a trip or a specific occasion. With this, you can quickly view statistics on how much you’ve spent on that particular outing.
b. How to create, edit and delete an event
To create a new event, please follow these steps:
- Step 1: Select the Events feature under the Account tab on the Navigation Bar.
- Step 2: Click the Plus (+) icon at the top of the screen next to the Wallet icon to start creating a new event.
- Step 3: After filling in the basic details of the event, including: Name / Start Date / Currency / Select Wallet, click Save to complete the process.
- Step 4: If you need to edit or delete the event, go back to the Events section and click on the event you wish to edit or delete to see these two options.
c. How to use
After creating the event, you can proceed to record your expenses as usual. Each time you add a new transaction, you can manually select the event in the transaction details.
2. Travel mode
a. Definition
This mode helps by automatically assigning transactions to the selected event when recording expenses, instead of selecting it manually. For example, if you enable this mode and choose the Holiday event created earlier, new transactions will be grouped under the Holiday event. Please remember to turn off this mode once the event has ended.
b. How to activate
To activate this mode, please follow these instructions:
For iOS:
- Step 1: Select the Travel Mode feature under the Account tab on the Navigation Bar.
- Step 2: Swipe the switch icon to the right to turn on the feature, which will change the color to green. To turn it off, swipe to the left to return the switch to gray.
- Step 3: Choose an existing Event or tap the button to create a new event if needed.
- Step 4: Once you have completed the above steps, tap the Done button to finish.
For Android:
- Step 1: Select the Travel mode feature under the Account tab on the Navigation Bar.
- Step 2: Choose an event to start activating the Travel mode. To turn it off, simply tap the Travel feature again in the Account tab, and the app will automatically disable the mode.
Once you have activated Travel mode, the add transaction button (+) will automatically include an airplane icon, and new transactions will be automatically assigned to the event without needing to select it manually.
