1. Definition
The "Share Wallet" feature of MoneyLover allows users to share their wallets with others. Users can invite other members to join a shared wallet and collaborate on managing transactions and expenses together. This feature enhances transparency and cooperation in managing family and group finances.
2. How to share a wallet
To share a wallet with another account, follow these steps:
- On the device/account that owns the wallet (the owner):
- Go to "My Wallets" in the Accounts tab.
- Select the wallet you want to share, then choose "Add Member."
- Enter the email of the MoneyLover account you want to share with, along with a message.
- Press the "Share" button, and the member will receive a notification.
- On the device/account that will receive the shared wallet (the member):
- Go to the "Account" tab, and select "Awaiting shared wallet."
- Press the agree button, and the shared wallet will appear in your "My Wallets" list.
Note:
-
After the owner sends an invitation to the member, the member will receive a notification via email, and a red dot will appear in the "Account" section.
-
Once the member accepts the invitation, the owner will receive an in-app notification indicating that the member has joined.
3. Notes
- Only the owner can add/edit/delete groups within the shared wallet.
- Only the owner can delete the wallet or remove members from the shared wallet.
- Members of the wallet can leave the wallet at any time.
- Current limitations:
- The shared wallet is excluded from the total in the member's account (the member cannot change this status).
- Owners and members cannot share budgets within the shared wallet.
