1. Create a transaction
To create a transaction in the app, follow these steps:
- Press the plus button displayed on the app to add a new transaction.
- Fill in the following fields:
- Amount: Enter the amount of money spent.
- Select category: Choose the category that best describes the purpose of your expenditure.
- Note: Add any notes or remarks related to the transaction.
- Date: Select the date when the transaction occurred.
- Wallet: Choose the wallet from which the transaction was made.
- Currency: You can change the currency when creating a transaction, and the app will automatically convert the amount to the wallet's currency.
For example: if your wallet's currency is VND but you want to create a transaction for $3, you just need to tap on the currency field, select USD, then enter the amount as $3. The transaction will be created and automatically converted to the wallet's currency, which is VND in this case.
Additionally, you can include more details by tapping on the "Add more details" button in the "Add transaction" screen:
- With: Specify who was involved in the transaction.
- Set location: Select the location where the transaction took place (available on iOS).
- Select event: Choose an event associated with the transaction (you need to create events beforehand).
- Reminder: Set a reminder for future notifications related to the transaction.
- Add photo: Attach a photo to provide additional details about the transaction. You can only add one photo. To change the photo, tap on the 'x' icon in the top right corner of the current photo to delete it and upload a different one.
- Exclude from report: If selected, the transaction will not appear in reports, budgets, or the Overview screen. Excluded transactions can be viewed under the "Other" section in reports.
2. Sort categories in Select Category screen
In the category selection screen when creating a transaction, you can arrange the categories either alphabetically or by frequency of use for easier transaction creation. To do this:
- Go to the "Add Transaction" screen.
- Click on "Select category".
- Tap on the filter button located above.
- Choose your preferred sorting method, either alphabetically or by frequency of use.
This feature allows you to organize categories in a way that suits your needs, making it more convenient to select the appropriate category when entering transactions.
3. Edit a transaction
To edit the information of a created transaction, please follow these steps:
- Step 1: Go to the "Transactions" tab and select the transaction you wish to edit.
- Step 2: Click on the "Edit" button located at the top right.
- Step 3: Modify the information as desired. For example, change from "Cash wallet" to "VPS wallet".
- Step 4: Click "Save" to save the transaction after editing.
Tip: On the transaction detail screen that needs editing, you can directly tap on the category, amount, and date fields to make changes, instead of pressing the edit button and making changes in the edit transaction screen.
4. Delete a transaction
Similarly to editing a transaction, if you want to delete it, simply select the transaction you wish to delete, then press the "Delete" button and confirm before proceeding with the deletion.
Note: Deleted transactions cannot be recovered, so please consider this action carefully before proceeding.
5. Suggested transactions
a. Amount-based suggestion
If the same amount has been added to the same category in a wallet three times or more, when you enter that amount, the app will automatically suggest the category for you.
Note: The transaction needs to be created within the same wallet.
b. Note-based suggestion
Within the same wallet, when you write a note, the app will automatically provide suggestions for you to quickly select and create transactions if that note has been used for a transaction before.
